Everything worth knowing.
The practical stuff — hire periods, placement, limits and payment. Can't find your answer? Call Trent on 0466 388 922.
Delivery & pick-up times
We deliver and pick up six days a week — Mon–Fri 5am–5pm and Sat 5am–1pm. Sundays are by appointment only.
Same-day booking
Order by 9am and we can usually deliver the same day (subject to availability). Get in first thing and we can often have it to you that afternoon.
Hire period
Standard skip bin hire is 7 days, including the delivery and pick-up days. Need it longer? Extra days are $20 per day.
Extending or finishing early
Your hire can be extended ($20 per day) or finished early (no refund). Need it picked up sooner? Give us a call and we’ll arrange it.
Where the bin can go
A few options on your property:
- The nature strip in front — leave room for pedestrians and check with your local council.
- The road in front — check whether your council requires a permit.
Fill limits
Fill the bin to the top but not over — keep everything level with the rim. Overfilled bins are dangerous to transport, so we can’t legally collect them. Got more than expected? We can drop an extra bin for the excess (charges apply) — call us in advance.
Weight limits
Maximum weight per bin:
- 2m³ — 1 tonne
- 3m³ — 1.5 tonne
- 4m³ — 2 tonne
- 6m³ — 3 tonne
- 8m³ — 4 tonne
Bin sizes at a glance
A rough guide by the wheelie-bin load:
- 2m³ ≈ 8 wheelie bins — small house or yard clean-ups.
- 3m³ ≈ 12 — garages, sheds and spare rooms.
- 4m³ ≈ 16 — one or two-room renovations.
- 6m³ ≈ 24 — medium renos in an average home.
- 8m³ ≈ 32 — bigger renovations and clean-ups.
What a cubic metre means
Bins are measured in cubic metres (m³) — width × depth × height. That volume is the bin size, written as m³.
Payment options
We accept cash, credit/debit card and bank transfer. Payment is usually taken over the phone at order time, or on delivery by cash or card (our truck is set up to take payment on the spot). Bank transfers need a deposit slip shown.
Hazardous items
Items like paint, tyres, oil, gas bottles and mattresses can’t go in a skip — these can go to your local refuse tip instead. Unsure about something? Call before it goes in.
Moving a bin once placed
Need it shifted within your hire? We can relocate it for a $60 call-out fee. Important: customers must not move the bin themselves — please call to arrange.
Delays
We run mornings and afternoons and always do our best to work in with you — occasionally there may be delays due to traffic or weather.
